F-One har gjort det igen!
F-one Bandit 5 er en kite med ukendte flyveegenskaber som rykker på markedets forventninger til hvad kan du forvente af din kite.
I 2010 og 2011 vandt F-one priser for bedste kite på markedet med hhv. Bandit IIV og Bandit IV. I 2012 er Bandit (V) 5 ikke blot blevet en videreudvikling af Bandit (IV) 4 men en kite med et revolutionerende shape, nemlig det anerkendte Delta C-shape som rykker til standarderne indenfor kite-teknologi på verdensplan.

F-One har taget patent på deres Delta C-shape som er unikt indenfor kiteteknologi verden over. Andre af de store kiteproducenter, heriblandt North Kiteboarding betaler i dag mange penge til F-one for at må anvende dette unikke Delta C-shape.

BANDIT 5 er en gennemført high-performance delta-kite kombineret med et markant C-shape, som sikrer ekstreme udviklingsmuleheder og en kite du aldrig vokser fra.
Alsidigheden er i højsæde samt enestående finish. F-one Bandit er både benyttet til speed rekorder op til 100 km/t i efteråret 2010 såvel som af verdensmesteren i bølgesejlads Mitu Monteiro.

De kun 3 struts giver en lav vægt, og stabiliteten er helt i top. Derudover er F-one kendt for deres yderst velfungerede relaunch og power/depower system som er helt i top. Unhooked står kiten klippestabilt, og shapets unikke kombination af patenteret delta og C-shape giver dig både massiv hangtime i hoppene og perfekt performance i kiteloops.

Kiten har naturligvis one-pump. En ultraclean bom med et gennemført sikkerhedssystem og en fantastisk kvalitet.

BANDIT (V) 5 har et massivt bundtræk, hvilket gør kiten til et indlysende valg for de tunge sejlere. Men også lettere sejlere nyder godt af bundtrækket. Ofte vil man opleve at man kan sejle en størrelse mindre end normalt.

Baren
IPN designet med en aluminiums monoblok, hvilket øger brudstyrken uden at det går ud over vægten. Bommen har naturligvis ingen limede dele. Omkring selve huset og enderne er der støbt med polymer, og resten er betrukket med EVA grip med dobbelt massefylde for en bedre komfort. ”Hullerne” i baren er ikke tildækket for at holde vægten helt i bund.

”Clam Cleat” tillader et let trim af frontlinierne. Den femte line går ikke bag Clam Cleat’en, så dette tillader den femte line at glide effektivt langs baren. Clam Cleat huset er beskyttet af et neoprenhylster for at forhindre komplikationer med femte line.

F-One set their goals for the F-One 2012 Bandit (V) 5 :

Range:
To further increase the Bandit 5's range, F-One needed both a kite that you could easily power up in the low end anda kite that was even more forgiving in strong and gusty conditions.
Lightness:
In order to improve its performance when under powered, and add to the ease of use at the bottom end its lightness was a priority.
Handling:
To immediately position the kite where you want it, to precisely manage its rotation during a kiteloop, and to have the most responsive kite in larger sizes, its maneuverability is crucial. This is why we have focused our attention on this particular aspect.

F-One Bandit 5 (V) Improvements:

The whole structure of the kite, its profile and its bridles have been reworked in order to achieve these goals. Its construction has also been fundamentally updated both in the choice and the distribution of materials and in the manufacturing processes. Because the structure of a kite is soft, it can deform and twist allowing the kite to rotate. A fully rigid profile wing will not turn at all. Therefore, manoeuverability and responsiveness of the kite depends directly on its ability to twist, one important point that F-One have greatly improved on thanks to a thinner leading edge, a new 3-point bridle system and a new shape for the struts. All these features were made to free the kites profile. Reducing the diameter of the leading edge with almost 25% less air volume, brings an important gain in terms of weight and aerodynamics. The result is better performance in the low end, but also at the top end thanks to an improved handling thinner profile.

F-One have also gained in terms of set up comfort as the inflation time has been reduced. A new type of flatter profile was employed by reducing the profile curve depth making the Bandit 5 (V) easier to depower and keep control at the top end. In the low end, a flatter profile is more efficient when powered-up and fully sheeted in providing constant power. The result is a better control of the kite aerodynamics, less lateral traction and less pressure and therefore effort through your legs and into the board when the wind picks up.
